Can I paste a YouTube link?
Not yet. Upload the original video file from your device. Scribix’s YouTube transcript tool imports captions; it does not import the source video for clipping.
Is this YouTube Shorts maker free?
You get 60 one-time processing minutes and can export original AI candidates for free. Adjusting cuts, captions and framing requires a paid plan. Free video uploads can be up to 2 GiB.
What kind of videos should I upload?
Start with videos built around speech: interviews, recorded podcasts, tutorials, presentations or commentary. This workflow extracts moments from existing footage; it does not generate a video from a text prompt.
How many Shorts will I get from one video?
It depends on the source material. You may get several candidates, or none if there is no suitable moment. Review each suggestion for context and completeness before using it.
Can I edit the subtitles and vertical crop?
Yes, with a paid plan. Correct caption text, change its styling and placement, adjust clip boundaries, and refine the framing. You can also fit the full picture when a close crop would leave something important out.
Can I use the clips on TikTok or Instagram Reels too?
You can reuse your exported vertical MP4 on other platforms. Review each platform’s current requirements and how its interface covers the video before you upload.
Does Scribix upload the Short to YouTube for me?
